Public Notice - Dump Pass
To the Moorland Township Residents and landowners: The Muskegon County Solid Waste Management has increased their dump fees beginning January 1, 2014. This notice is to inform you the township will continue to pay for three (3) passes at $18.00 only until March 31, 2014. Any additional charges will be the responsibility of the person utilizing the dump. Beginning April 1, 2014 the township will have available to landowners two (2) passes at $22.00 each. Landowners must request the dump passes from the township hall in order to have them issued.

MOORLAND TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
On October 21, 2013 a special meeting of the Moorland Township
Planning Commission will be held at the Moorland Township Hall after
Hearings at 7:00 p.m. for a site plan review of Eastside Auto Parts
located on Apple Avenue.
You can plan to attend or you can send written comments to the

before October 21, 2013.

NOTICE
The Moorland Township Election Commission will be meeting on October 10 at 9:30 a.m. at the Township Hall to appoint election workers and resolve to have a Receiving Board for the November Election.
The public accuracy test will be conducted on October 31 at 10 a.m. at the Township Hall.
The Clerk’s Office will be open for Absentee Ballots only on Saturday, November 2, noon until 2:00 p.m. and Monday, November 4, 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
If you wish to leave a voted AV ballot, please drop it in the slot on the front hall entrance.

Request for Proposals - Kitchen / Office Remodel
Purpose of RFP
Moorland Township is a government entity. The township is accepting bids to finish the kitchen and an office area. Labor only, materials will be provided by the township through Ravenna Lumber. Bid to include labor costs to insulate office, hang drywall in office, hang office door, install door set, prime and paint paneled kitchen walls and doors, prime and paint office walls, remove rubber shoe trim and replace, insulate ceiling, and install suspended ceiling.
Response Date and Submission Requirements
Please submit bids by Thursday, May 9, 2013 no later than 12:00 p.m. All bids must be in writing and received by the township's contact person by the aforementioned deadline. If bid is received after the deadline or is incomplete, it will not be considered. Bids must include applicant's builder's license, proof of insurance and worker's comp if applicable.

Proposal Review Process
The bids will be reviewed by the Moorland Township Board of Trustees at their regular meeting on May 9, 2013. At that time the Board will determine which vendor will be awarded this job. The winning bid will be contacted no later than May 23, 2013 to establish commencement details. Job to be completed within 30 days of approval.

The Moorland Township Board of Trustees will hold a Budget Hearing on
Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at the Moorland Township Hall.
The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the
proposed budget will be subject of this hearing. A copy of the
proposed budget is available for inspection at the township hall
during office hours.

A two-day notice is required. If this policy is not followed you may be responsible for the costs associated with a false fire-run.
